Ernest Ernst
Ernest Ernst, is the estranged son of surrealist artist Max Ernst and his first wife Luise Straus and brother of artist Jimmy Ernst. Though Jimmy and Max managed to escape to America along with many other European artists in 1933 and 1941 respectively, Ernest took sanctuary in Switzerland until the end of the war, where he eked out a living as a cuckoo clock maker and grape stomper. Soon after the war came to a close, he moved to the United States Unable to break onto the American art scene, Ernest continued working on a series of odd jobs until settling for a career as a sandwich artist at Subway. However, frustrated by the limitations of the sandwich medium, he began making aerosol pancake art, rising to prominence in the Stuckist movement in the late 1990s. He currently lives and works in Schenectady, New York where he has a teaching position at Union College. His most recent work explores the role of syrup in pancake deliciousness.
MooShoe
Ah, that old quack-a-doo, the artist with the wee Scottish accent and the ever-so-fine culinary expertise. Raised in the motherland o’ Scotland, the lass traveled both far and wee, eating scrumptious meals, all the while saturating herself in the glory and intrigue of the quirkiest art the world had to offer. At last settling in India, the artist absorbed the infinite magic of sitar playing, making billions off her smash single “Won’t You Try My Haggis?”–a true masterpiece of sitar genius. With her gold, the young totsie set about creating the first graffiti art gallery, a space of blank walls for any man to create upon. The wee Scot currently spends her days eating, sitar strumming, and penciling pictures of naked people and intestines on huge blank walls.
Huckleberry Bailey
Huckleberry Bailey has been a world traveler for five years. When not traveling, Bailey keeps up her own art endeavors using a variety of media, anywhere from painting to ceramics, to mosaics. Most recently she has traveled to Greece, and was greatly inspired by the natural colors of the land and the surrounding waters. Bailey currently resides in San Francisco, California. She helped to design her own home drawing from ideas in nature. The house sits on a mountain, nestled in to the rocks with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay. The home contains a mosaic covered grotto where Bailey spends a lot of her time just relaxing by the shallow pool of water. Bailey’s ultimate belief is that art can be found any where at any point it is just a matter of looking at it the right way.
“Cheez” Liz Suburbia
As soon as “Cheez” Liz Suburbia receives her degree, she plans to squander it by tattooing shaved cats for the rest of her life. In case her lack of decorum in all situations didn’t make it obvious, she was raised by wolves with no monogrammed silver.
Catalina
Known most commonly as God’s gift to mankind, Catalina is currently an art major at the University of Mary Washington where she spends an inordinate amount of time not sleeping, making breast molds, drawing naked people and making lengthy phone calls to England. Her parents are not particularly happy about any of these activities. She hates corn but loves sunflowers and receiving text messages.
Elokin Inoccat
Elokin Inoccat is a homeless native to the Canadian Rockies. She is an Aggressive Ribbon Dancing School drop-out. The fact that she has access to this blog is impressive and should be considered an art form in itself.
Nanner Hammock
Nanner Hammock currently lives and works in Italy, but calls anywhere she nests a home. Hammock, a world traveler, believes she is fluent in many languages though some beg to differ. Being a well established ceramist and sculptor, Hammock has many apprentices working under her. She is an artist to her very core and sometimes hibernates for months at a time to come up with a brilliant idea. Her works are usually produced on a substantial size and later memorialized in bronze to be worshiped. Any medium is her canvas and her ability to transform her materials is unlike anything seen before. In late December a film will be released in theaters near you about her extraordinary life.

Jade F. Angler
Jade F. Angler began her illustrious life in the colorful country of India, raised by Buddhist monks. One day when the wind changed, she found herself in the belly of a cargo ship bound for Chile. Ten months and a small bout of sea sickness later, she arrived in Chaiten where she was greeted by the local sea lions and quickly picked up Spanish. After blending in with her fellow Latinas, she decided it was time for a change and swiftly moved to Bali where she bought an open air home off the beaten track and began her career as a wood carver. She spends inordinate amounts of time carving intricate Buddhas in her favorite Ghandaran style. Though she aspires to one day exhibit all her works together in a single show, this goal has been deemed impossible as she frequently gives away her labor-intensive pieces to wandering vagrants.
Aiyana Stone
Aiyana Stone was born on a small island, unknown by most, near Fiji. Connected to nature all her life, Stone grew a love for the beauty and mystery of nature. From a young age, all she wanted to do was capture even the slightest bit of the immense magnificence of nature through her art, no matter the media. Determined to explore the world, Stone and a few close friends built a ship on which they set out into the seemingly unlimited blue which had surrounded her her entire life. Stone stopped at various ports across the globe, in countries such as Thailand, Namibia, Egypt, and Argentina. At each place, she acquired pieces of the cultures she encountered and would create pieces which attempted to show the true beauty of the land. After years of travel, Stone settled in Florence, where she bought and renovated an old villa. It was here that she organized her pieces into one collaborate work of art, titled Vera Belleza. This work has caused her name to be known world-wide in the art community, and overcoming the difficulties of traveling, she has shown this work across the globe. Her home however remains in Florence, where she continues to live with her family and dogs.
GIRL ON FIRE

girl on fire is in no way to be confused with girls gone wild!
I recently accepted this editorial position. I am just returning from a jaunt with Hillary and Andy. We all needed a break. I look forward to this challenge and thank the featured writers and editors for suggesting me.
Mintee Fresch
Born on a nudist colony in Dodge City, Alaska, Mintee Fresch quickly developed a love of clothes. She began her foray into design early, using the only other member of her family who appreciated fashion, her dog Juniper, as her model. At the ripe age of 13, Mintee and her canine companion got the hell out of Dodge and headed for New York City. Arriving in the city, Mintee quickly established herself as the foremost designer of canine couture, though she soon moved on to two-legged clients. After years of collaboration, Mintee and Juniper parted ways to pursue separate interests; Juniper quickly made a name for herself as the premier cover model of Fancy Mutt magazine. 1989 saw a milestone in the career of Ms. Fresch; when a tragic jigsaw puzzle accident resulted in the loss of her left eye, an event which prompted the creation of her line of fashion-forward eye patches. Igniting a fad of epic proportions in the early 90’s, her couture ocular coverings could be seen on the most fashionable faces the world over. Adhering to her mantra “Everyone should wear clothes,” she is currently collaborating with New York City’s rising star of hybrid drag queen chic, Acid Betty.
